Me and Micay.

Honestly, Micay and I goes a long way. I met her 21 or 22 years ago in the same foundation where we are sponsoring her. I was an intern there before for a month and three girls were assigned to me. One of them is Micay. Her face is really pleasant because she always offer a smile on her face every time. She welcomes me every morning with her smile. I changed her clothes and feed her and play with her.
Being a graduating student that time, of course I was excited on what the future holds for me. I was looking forward to work and all. Never did I became curious of how those foundation works.
Forward now, me and my sister were surprised to know that the foundation they went to is a place I know of and when she told me her plan, I was excited and asked to look for Micay if she is still there. Most of the kids there have special needs and that foundation will be the only home they will know.
I am happy that I am able to help her in a way I can. I am hoping to see her soon.

I became a special education teacher after meeting my husband. I worked with so many as an undergraduate and went on to earn my masters, sixth year, and 30/credits beyond. I’m still in touch with many of my former students. I can never forget them.

I worked with special needs children. It was an amazing experience I will never forget! Helping to feed them two meals each day and providing them with some valuable classroom training sessions. I loved it
