Took a nice hike today. But...

There's always a butt, and there's always a but. Today, my hiking partner and I took a nice one in the Berkeley hills in Tilden Park. A couple of highlights for me were getting a tom wild turkey to gobble back at me, guiding two cute preschool kids and their dad to some turtles on a log, and sitting near a meadow and watching some cows graze.
What's the butt, or but, you ask? Well, I ran out of my best pain meds, and my hips and butt were hurting for most of the hike. We covered five miles. The but? My friend is one who talks a lot and doesn't listen very well. The sounds of nature were mostly drowned by his endless pontificating.
But I had a good time.

Doesn't having a good time make life's hell all worth it?

The little moments and events are the ones that thrill us and provide us more joy as years move on and we look at those moments with fondness.

Pretty Hereford heifer you have there. I bet you do not hike with that person too often. At least not if you want to enjoy nature.

I'm glad there was plenty of good along with the bad.

So... like... you don't get upset when someone tells you to "take a hike"... ?

You are actually maturing if you could put up with endless pontification and still call it good time. There is hope for you. I am sorry about your medication. Can't you order it online? I would still advise you to check online remedies in homeopathy. My problem is completely resolved because of it. Advantage of homeopathy medication is it has no side effects.
