It’s a Meatloaf Kinda Day

I thawed out a package I thought might be cube steak, surprise it was hamburger. I decided to make a meatloaf with a fig Dijon glaze. We had sour cream-chive mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. It was good.
I have not even gotten dressed today and since it’s 5 I’m not sure I will lol
Yesterday I went to Irene’s for breakfast and we watch the funeral of prince Philip. I felt so bad for the queen it has to be devastating to lose your partner of 73 years. We still
Had time to play to games of scrabble.
Kasey and I finally chose the paint colors for the cottage. Painting will be happening soon. The main color is tree moss and the bathroom and porch will Newburyport blue. Hopefully things will be done by Memorial Day.
I chose a new fridge and the bathroom vanity. We still have things to do in the kitchen. The bathroom needs to be torn out and the new shower built. We chose the tile.
I also decided on the color trex I want for my deck. Things are moving along.

Your dinner sounds so delicious and Irene's parfait looks inviting! We're plugging along with our remodeling job, a little at a time. I'd love to see photos!

The same contractor who did the rest of the work will do the bathroom as well. It is not inexpensive but he has done good by us so far.

The cottage sounds really nice. I hate moving, but sometimes it's good to move to be where you want to be. My family loves meat loaf. Your sauce for it sounds interesting, I always have to make mine with a chili sauce topping because the kids love it that way. Oh, and I have to have mashed potatoes with it or so they say.

Oh this is our vacation home. It is a place to get away to not where we will ever live full time. I use Home Chef and got the idea for the sauce from them. It is just fig jam and gray poupon but is delicious

Yes we are getting down to the wire. We still want to repels each the Lowe cupboards and add a dishwasher. But we will need a new sink , faucet , and counter top.

Sounds like you had a very nice meal. I was g going to get ground beef at the store today but I decided to wait. What color is tree moss? The blue color sounds very ice. It sounds like things are moving on.

@porwest my grandmother was born in Cambridgeshire and I fell in love with British history at a very young age, we have been there on vacation at least 20 times. We rent houses or apartments and then drive all over.! I always do genealogy while I’m there too
