Age Limit

Mynimo is one example of a job hiring app in the Philippines. So many of my fellow Filipinos use it to look for jobs here in our country or abroad.
In this app or in any other job hiring apps in my country; it is very rare to find job hiring ads with an age limit clause.
In your country, do you have "no age limit, no experience needed" job hiring ads?

@ZedSmart,that is truth.entry-level work experience is uncompetitive when you try a job-hopping,that's very sad.

Yes it is the saddest part. My boyfriend from Punjab was trying very hard to look for a job. Something came up but he did not qualify because he is over aged already.

@gamayngbaki Yes, if you prefer to work instead that retiring you can. Of course if you get a salary, you cannot receive your pension payment, it's one thing or the other.

@LadyDuck,it showed the company valued experience more than age in your country.it is advantageous to someone aged but skilled.

Wow that's nice! That means that even those already in their senior age are qualified to apply as long as they have the experience for the job.

@gamayngbaki this is really good news. In the call center industry, it has been practiced years ago.

In our country; I think; the age limit clause when applying for a job has been scraped/ eliminated. This is good news for all senior citizens who are still capable of working.

@jobelbojel Yes ! I benefited from it because I was able to work for a call center for just a couple of months even if I was already in my late 50's.

I do know that the minimum age law in America is 14 years of age. Every state has their own laws when a child can begin to work in limited hours.

A child of 14 can work already but in limited hours only but how about the older or senior citizens?

Using job hiring apps is the best and most convenient way to find a job. You can even send an application letter and resume online. Do you still have age limit clause in you jobs hiring especially for senior citizens in your country?

It's hard to get a job when you're just starting. They want experience for most job. Not taking any job, they would say you're picky. Asking for higher salary, they say you're demanding. Just pick any job, you're wasting your certificate. It's never a right thing to do.

It's a dilemma that no person would want to be in.

No. By law minors must be at least 16-year-old. Some jobs (like driving) they must be 18. In some rare cases (with perental concent) minors might start work at 15, but it's rare and only a handful of places do it.
Bare in mind, I am in the U.S. and as such each "state" may do things differently. My statments are based on a general consensis as far as working and labor laws are concerned.

Sixteen years old is I think a better age to be able to start working. But what about your senior citizens? What is the age limit for older people to get a job?

So true. That's why most of us Filipinos had to find jobs abroad but now our job openings do not discriminate on age anymore. There are lots of opportunities for applicants with advanced age.

@gamayngbaki There ARE exceptions though. It's not like it would be wise to hire an 80 year old man to climb telephone poles.

That's good because most persons with advanced age and experience deserve to be hired also.
