And Momma Bird Looks To Be....

A wren! I got a glimse of her today. I opened the back door to go outside and as I was walking down the steps I saw a little bird land on top of the rail on the utility trailer. I knew then that she was guarding her babies and I didn't ruffle her feathers by trying to get close to take a peek. I did that later. (big grin) I think she was in the nest with them at that time because I couldn't really see anyting but feathers. The babies did not make any noises so I hope they were just napping and cozy with momma bird. The photo is one from Pixabay of a wren. Not sure that is what they are but that was the best match I could make. Photo Credit: Pixabay

Looks like a Carolina wren. They are very noisy and aggressive with their babies. They are a big protector.

That was the closest photo I found. Not sure what type of wren she is but that is close enough. She hasn't really been noisy at all, just the babies when hungry.

@CarolDM So far mamma bird has been quiet. I guess that means I haven't pissed her off yet.

@jobelbojel I think if that was the case she would have already chewed me out for looking in the nest and taking pictures of her babies.

Haha. Don't need anymore ruffled feathers here! I actually got them this morning from a team member in my downline. She shared a couple of my posts that were posted in my team group. I still don't think she knows why it was wrong. SMH.

Birds everywhere here. I'm ready for the baby chicks to go outside. They are getting very active and loud too.

They look similar to the sparrows, but I think those birds are a bit bigger. I like birds.

Yes, I think you are right about sparrows being bigger. I noticed that when looking at photos trying to identify them.

@kareng There is a cuckoo bird somewhere near us that is the most annoying birds of all... when it start with its cuckoo song he goes on and on for hours, it is a pain.
