Hey all
So today I have been trying to schedule my appointment for the vaccine from morning and I couldn't find any slots available for this month at all.
That got me thinking IS IT REALLY REQUIRED TO GET VACCINATED?
What do you guys think?
By the way, I couldn't find any slots for this month, will have to wait for next month's slots to open.

@Prabhatsingh The US reached 33% of its population fully vaccinated, and 50% with at least one dose. Our rate of infections is going down!!!!

@Prabhatsingh I haven't had a turn and I don't know when. Now we can only follow the health protocol and hope to get a vaccine as soon as possible. Stay safe.

@Prabhatsingh It`s ok to wait. You still have to be safe even if you got vaccinated because you can still get the virus. Although, the symptoms will not be as hard as the one who didn`t get the vaccine. I just really hope and pray that the pills that they are working on to cure this virus will be effective and will help a lot of people

At least not for a month now.
Looks like I will be spending more time here on myLot this month than I should have getting vaccinated.

It's not that they postponed just for me, a huge chunk of people are not gonna get the vaccines this next few months.

It's just the first day of the month and the slots are already booked for the whole month.
One has to wait for at least a month to try again.

That I know.
The real question is. Do I want to get the vaccine?

I think yes. The reason is simple. It brings down the probability of being infected. Secondly, it also brings down the probability of severe infection. Note I did not say once vaccinated you can move around freely. Until the country records zero cases that will not happen. It also means we may have to repeat the drama six months down the lane.
As an educated person, I believe it is my duty to sort of not become a host to this terrorist virus.

@Prabhatsingh The mismanaging government..sigh. When they should have been planning vaccines allowing industries to collaborate for Sputnik and Moderna, they spent the time and resources on Kumbh Mela organization, and election campaigns. Only those who have work experience should be elected. Not folks like Modi and Shah.

I agree but our management(govt) is not ready to give us the vaccine by end of this year.
No vaccines are available for 18+ groups.
What is one supposed to do then?

I agree.
The law should be passed to become or participate in elections you need to be a graduate least.
then only we can think about the growth of the country.

And not all hospitals are offering it to 18+ and still, there are shortages.
Also, the available opportunity is not available this month.

@Prabhatsingh Yes you are only some top notch private hospitals like Apollo are offering the vaccine. Shortage of vaccine is bound to be there.

@Prabhatsingh I know how hard it is in your country to get the vaccine. If you cannot be vaccinated, keep your mask on all the time and try to stay away from people as much as you can.

I agree with you, but what if you are not able to get the vaccine at all.
even if you are eligible.
What then, what should one do then?

Someone here has had covid-19 twice and was wiped out for a good three weeks each time. With the vaccine if you get the illnesses it's shorter lived. It's something you need to decide for yourself.

I cannot answer for you. Everyone has to feel comfortable with what you do and not what others tell you to do. I had both vaccinations and now they are talking about a 3rd because saying our immune system with the two lasts for so long and need a 3rd. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I read here that some may have a 3rd dose too. I believe by the end of 2921 they may let us know. I had Pfizer for both shots. I read that the immune system lasts so long or something like that and that a 3rd should do it.

But when are we gonna get it is the main question.
How long will we have to sit in our houses just because vaccines are not available?
How long?
