A mixed morning.

Yesterday, I slept well and in the morning I felt that I could easily have rolled over and gone back to sleep for another couple of hours - something I really need! Of course I couldn’t as it was a school day.
This morning, in contrast, when I had no need to get up early, I woke up when it was still dark (before 5 am) and wasn’t really able to get back to sleep after that.
At least I had had breakfast and got some work out of the way even before the others woke up, except Little One who came in quite early and sat next to me in bed reading. We had to wait quite a long time for Big One!
After our little Saturday morning routine of coffee and biscuits and stories in bed, then it was all a bit of a rush as Little One was invited to spend a few hours with a friend. I planned to walk over with her, pushing my bicycle, then cycle on to the local shop since I just ate the last banana (quite a crisis in this house!) But when I got my bike out, I found that the front wheel nut had fallen off!
Obviously I couldn’t take that, so I had to walk there and back - but the good thing was that on the way, we passed a house where several items had been placed outside with a ‘Free, please take’ sign, and they included an office-style chair and a desk lamp. These are just what Little One wants, and they were still there when I walked back, so I picked them up and brought them home.
So a bit of a mixed morning, but pretty good on the whole. Now I just have to find a new nut for my bike wheel!

Sounds like a productive day so far.
I felt the same as you did while still in bed. But, Henry was certain that he had no treats in his bowl. This time, he did not lie. So, I gave him more treats, then put his harness and leash on him for our early morning balcony time. But, it was about 2°C, so he didn't want to stay out long.
I've since eaten my breakfast, played with Henry a bit, and posted one "discussion" to myLot. I need to spruce the house up a bit. And, I am thinking about walking up to a nearby store. But it is still 2°C, and there is more rain in the forecast. So, I have not decided when or if I am going to go for that walk yet.
I hope you are enjoying the rest of your Saturday.

@Fleura Not yet. But, we are suppose to get a high of 11°C today. That will most likely be in the afternoon.

Uhm... those are quite pink! I had to shade my eyes to look at the photo.
I could explain where a nut could be found, but maybe shouldn't do that right now.

@Fleura Hey! That's not the kind of nut I was thinking of!

@DaddyEvil And they're not pink, they're red (although the lamp base is a little faded).

It is always dark when I get up at 5 AM... it would be not if we should have kept the winter time, but we cannot have everything. The chair and the lamp are pretty and in good conditions... well you had an annoying problem, but you found two interesting things to bring back home.

You did very well with your day. Someone has picked up our fire unit and another person has paid a deposit on the trailer and will pick it up in a couple of weeks. So our day is going well too. I hope you find the nut. We sometimes talk about 'the nut behind the wheel' causing an accident. lol

@Fleura It's surprising how much we've made with all the stuff we've sold. We'll be able to buy some new things for our new home as the buyers have bought quite a bit of the furniture. It's a double benefit as there won't be so much to shift.
