Isn't it strange?

It's not strange we have a lockdown here , people are dying with the covid and still people are going out. Even I am going to the office daily as our office is not closed. Top management is sitting at home and giving directions to us. How strange ? Is our life not precious? What is to be done ? I think I should stop going to the work now for at least a week. I have been going out more than some during the pandemic. But always masked and with social distancing. Now that I'm vaccinated, I still follow the same rules.

If your work can be managed from home, it should be advised to work from home. That's unnecessarily increasing the risk. Your top management should be sensible. Every life is precious.

As I am directly involved in the manufacturing process so my work cannot be managed from home. Yes I have a risk as I have to be in contact with many people at work.

@sjvg1976 Oh! I see. You have to take all precautions to keep you safe and do all to boost your immunity. Good diet, regular steaming and kadha etc. Many in my family and extended family are frontline workers..and they have been out since last year. They got infected too but recovered as they were doing these things regularly. Don't let fear grip your mind. It lowers your immunity. Even I am recovering from the virus. I got it at work. Even those staying indoors are getting it in second wave. So do what you can in your capacity and stay calm and positive.

@arunima25 hmm.. even the people who are taking too much precaution and are disciplined are getting affected this time.

It's sad but also the bitter truth. Not all people are getting the luxury to work from home which isn't fair especially in these times. You do whatever you feel like. Have a good day. Take care

It's essential that government should impose a strict lockdown like last year otherwise no one can prevent the number of deaths in the country. Hope Modi ji will take some action soon.

If things are so bad there, then the best option is to ban any activity during any given time.

It's not that money is also important for life. That's also need to be considered.

How can you expect intelligent decisions and a good system of governance from politicians who have not attained education, who have criminal cases against them, who are selfish and corrupt, and think of persons as votes. It is the people who encouraged and promoted them to this level and they have almost destroyed everything. Now we have to suffer the consequences. We never choose the intellects, educated, experts, and ex-civil services people to lead our nation. The common people will suffer always and the powerful would be in a safe place. https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/rich-indians-flee-by-private-jet-as-covid-19-infections-spiral-101619448267544.html
Fadnavis, in a statement, identified Tanmay as a “distant relative”. A close family source said Tanmay is the grandson of former MLA Shobhatai Fadnavis, who is the ex-chief minister's aunt.

Here people still go out even on lockdown but most of them are following the safety rules although the social distancing is hard to follow here because you can really see a lot of people are going out to buy food.

Here too so ial distancing is tough to follow. People even don't isolate themselves if they are not well.

I would love to work from home. That way I'll meet less people. However, it's not possible with my job. So I still have to go out. Some works are like that. They have no choice but to go out.

I know what you mean, it seems that for politicians money is more important than human life. I think you should stay at home and work from home.

If there was "work from home" facility there I would have but no such facility for us who are directly involved in the production process.

From what my other Indian friends tell me, life is considered cheap by many Indians... usually the ones who can stay at home during the pandemic. If you can afford to stay home, I think you should, too.
