Race day on sunday . Why?

For years the nascar series did not have racing on mothers day weekend. Then they started doing something different. they would have the race on the night before which I thought was a great idea. Sunday was left open for the dads who wanted to take their wives out or go see their moms so it was all good. Now all of a sudden this weekend on sunday the race is on. What was nascar thinking? Who knows. Thank god for apps that have replays
