Now that myLot is officially rewarding more meaningful discussions rather than stupid yes/no ones, we will hopefully see this change. Hang in there and it will get better!

I think you're right! Most people are probably only using this to make money, not to be involved with meaningful discussions. But with the new policy, things should change. I hope so!

I think it's the level of maturity. It's also a greed factor. It may not interest them to answer that question at that particular moment. None the less, it depends on a person's preferance.

i was also little bit upset with the number of responses i used to get for my discussions.so i thought i am a poor starter and just trying to respond to other's discussions which are interesting. But i used to start one or two discussions in a day.

Are you posting within your interest categories? A lot of people look at new questions there so may be missing your questions if you are always posting to the general discussion board.

It could be frustrating, you have to admit that is easy for people all around the world to use a few simple words in order to reply to a "stupid" question.

I feel your pain! I am having an identical problem. I am beginning to think tha tI am asking things that are just too in depth for people to answer. Those are the kinds of questions where we can really elaborate and have a good discussion though. Maybe one day they will all get noticed.
