Coffee and Some Rambling

Happy Thursday Everyone! finally it's a sunny day with beautiful blue skies. Since it was raining yesterday the lawn crew didn't come and they showed up bright and early this morning. I would have loved to have had my coffee outside this morning but it's too loud and all that cut grass would give me a severe allergy attack. Hopefully I'll be able to sit outside this afternoon and enjoy some fresh air. Yesterday was just "one of those days" for me. I wish I could have plugged myself in and recharged my battery like I do with all my other electronics. I was just plum tired. I feel better today and now I have to get the stuff done that I didn't do yesterday. May is a busy month for me. Two of my daughters have birthdays, one grandson, my Uncle and of course Mother's Day is Sunday. Usually we have one big party on Mothers Day to celebrate but again this year the whole family won't be together. My oldest daughter, son in law and the two kids will be here so it will be a celebration but just not quite as big. I've noticed since the pandemic and lockdown that I've been using more stamps and checks than I have in previous years. I've been mailing birthdays cards with checks inside whereas I would usually just put the card with a gift and hand it to the person when we would have the party. I haven't had much fun buying gifts this year. Anyway, nothing much going on here which is good I guess. What's going on with you today? Anything exciting?

My brother in law has a May birthday and of course it is Mother's Day weekend. I should get a card today but I think I will wait until tomorrow. I don't want to go anywhere today.

Happy Birthday to everyone! Happy Mother's Day to you and yours. I'll wish you a Mother's Day again on Sunday, but you might not be here. The Pandemic changed a lot of things and the way we interact with others. You might even call it vintage to send cards and letters in the mail again, with postage stamps. What a phenomenon. My excitement today - getting the COVID test and getting the results - NEGATIVE Have a great day.

So happy your test is negative. Praying that your son and his girlfriend don't get sick Isn't it funny how simple things like sending cards and buying stamps could be considered vintage. I remember when letter writing was popular

@Marilynda1225 I remember the teacher teaching us the proper etiquette for letter writing. My how times change and then roll back on themselves.

Right now I'm waiting to get my wound debrided which isn't fun at all depending on what needs to come off to allow it to heal. I also forgot to take my ibuphrephen before leaving the house so I'm hoping the lanocaine they put on it suffices. After visiting my grandbaby later I may head to lowers and buy one or two cans of two different colors to work in the bathroom walls. I have so much other things too do that I shouldn't do that but if it's done soon we don't have to worry about the floor at least, getting paint on it I mean. Will that part is over and it wasn't too bad at all plus it looks better than it seemed at first.

Hope you aren't in too much pain without your ibuprofen. Sounds like a busy day ahead. I want to paint my half bath on the first floor but can't decide on a color

@Marilynda1225 I picked colors inn my shower curtain which I like and plan on keeping. But I'll need me towels eventually. You could go with a cooler your already using or something to of set those colors or something new which means you may need to buy new things.

It's a pretty day here as well. I am going to run a few errands and go get some groceries in a little while. Enjoy your get together. We will be having a cookout Saturday at Mike's mom's for Mothers day. Brother in law has to work Sunday, when we would normally get together, so we wanted to do it Saturday when he could be with us.

A barbecue sounds like fun and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well as Mikes mom. We're doing an early dinner for Mothers Day as both my grandkids have to go to work.

I asked our son a couple of weeks ago if we could put off gathering for Mother's Day until he is vaccinated. Now that the day is approaching, I almost feel guilty, I hope that he doesn't feel that I am pushing him away. Our rain has pushed out of here and today is cool but nice and sunny. I just checked my planters and the plants seem to be smiling at me as they sun bathe.

It's holiday here in the Philippines. I got to rest for a day. Had watched movies on the netflix. Got to do my things cleaned. What a beautiful day here despite the pandemic we are facing. Still the Lord grace is everywhere! ??????

I'd go broke if I had that many Bdays in one month then to top it off Mothers Day. I've been doing a lot of laughing these last few weeks, it's all good and I'm extremely happy.

The celebrations in this situation are unusual, because we can't all be together, but I sincerely hope that it will end one day.

As my grandkids get older, I never have a clue what they would like for gifts so I just give them money in a card.

My cousin had his birthday yesterday, even though we live in different cities, we caught up via video calls. And rather than gifts this time, he asked me to send the money online. That too a hefty sum. Couldn't say no, I just love that little ball of nuts.
