The past days I've been wanting to make doughnuts. A lot of people sell here online different varieties of doughnuts. It made me curious, and so I give in. This afternoon I finally try to make one. I watched and watched several youtube tutorial and settled for one. But my dough was so sticky so I did add some more flour. I think the dough was in the mixer longer than it should be. When I get it from the mixer, it is still a bit sticky so I add some more flour.
I am still not comfortable working with yeast but I hope I can perfect it with tons of practice. The filling of the doughnut is strawberry cream cheese and the other one is nutella cream cheese.
Result: it is edible for sure, my daughter loves the strawberry filling. It is not too sweet which is good. I dust it with powdered sugar.
Will I try it again, I am not sure. 
Maybe I will try baking it, I prefer that than frying. Have you try baking doughnuts?15 people like this

I have not tried to bake doughnuts, but my brother and I use to fry doughnuts back in the late 70's or early 80's. It was fun to do.

I am one that likes to buy them already made. I have never attempted to make doughnuts in my life so am not one to comments on yours. I look at it for your family and it tastes good then that is what matters. Goo for you for wanting to make them right and want to keep practicing till you do get them as to how they should be.

I have made them on occassion. I actually have doughnut pans now. I will probably try making them again.

The only kind I've made are from canned refrigerated biscuits that are fried in oil and then rolled in sugar. I bet your donuts were good.
