I am here after a long time. I do not get time to be here. Now a days pandemic is raging all over the world and many countries are affected. I am from India and at present India is badly affected. In this very tough time, when people are frequently falling sick and deaths are taking place, it gets difficult to maintain your cool. How do you maintain your cool and stay calm in these kinds of circumstances?

It is good to hear that you take all kinds of precautions to safeguard yourself from the Carona virus. I understand that slowly but steadily the rate of infected people is going down in your city? Yes, we should be hopeful that one day the pandemic will be over and we will be back to normal. Thanks for responding.

Good to see you back after a really long time. I was missing here in April as I got infected by the virus and was recovering in home isolation. Yes, South Asia is struggling with the ruthless second wave. I don't panic. My yoga and meditation helps. Somewhere I know that it's a challenging and testing times. But then this too shall pass

@arunima25 Yes, sticking to faith and praying to the Great God is the only option, to keep us going. You are right that crisis is long from over and in many places, the cases are still increasing. I understand that it is getting worse in Bangalore? Yes, we all are fine. Thanks for your concern. We are taking all precautions and confining ourselves to our homes. I am working from home for past 3 weeks.

I am glad to be contact with you again and to know that you are doing ok, though I know your country is very much affected by this virus right now. All the past year I have tried to stay productive . . . stayed in survival mode. I don't know that I have stayed cool and calm . . . but I like to think we did our best to stay as safe as possible - that has kept me going. But I tell you, there were many times that I was not calm inside, though I may not have shown in it on the outside.

@much2say In the first wave, India did better than other countries. However, in month of March, a new variant of Carona virus emerged and that played havoc. Many lost their life. However, things are under control now once lockdown was reinforced. Yes, it is difficult to maintain our cool in this era of pandemic. Let us hope that when more and more people are vaccinated, that will help control the pandemic. I understand that things are much better now over there?

@dpk262006 We are seeing on the news here that India is now easing restrictions? Yes, it is sad hearing about so many who have suffered and lost their lives. I truly hope India is healing now. I hear there is another variant in Vietnam - not sure what is going on with that. How is the vaccination scene out there? They say the cases and deaths are lower here than it's ever been, in our state anyway. We have had a good vaccination rate, but there are still many more who need to be vaccinated. We are supposed to open fully on June 15. People are happy about that, but it makes me nervous. No matter what they say about the numbers, I am not fully trusting about human behavior. Therefore we will continue to wear the mask and stay cautious.

@dpk262006 I am so glad things seem to be improving over there. My friend and I were discussing how this could have happened as we heard that India actually did very well early on in this pandemic. It is difficult to know what exactly is the best way to take of and live under this pandemic. With all the vaccination roll outs around the world, I hope we are on the right path to fully controlling this situation. Besides our physical health, our mental health has also been strained. This was another good reason to stay as productive as we could. I have always said that I do not get depressed (if anything, I get angry) - but even I have felt particularly stressed and depressed at times. Please continue to stay safe and well out there!

Hello Dee. It’s nice to see you here once again. I heard about what’s going on in India and i’m so sorry about that. Our country’s situation is no better. I don’t know what to tell you on how to keep my cool in this situation. Coz actually i’ve been pretty cool since last year. I guess because i didn’t have to worry much about it. I am feeling secure in my own home. There are a lot of online videos helping people how to deal with anxiety.

Being in Delhi where it's spreading fast it's been difficult to keep cool. Already I have lost many of acquaintances and further it's not easy to lose them. Beds and oxygen cylinder are not getting easily to save the life of people. It's better not to go out of the home and stay safe

Hello and welcome back, after such a long time. Things are getting better here, but we still have limitations. Restaurants are still forbidden to serve inside, but they can serve food if they have a terrace or outdoor tables. We are still obliged to wear a mask and keep distancing. I do not panic, I know that if I follow the guidelines I am pretty safe, things will go back to normal.

Thanks Anna for welcoming me back. I remained inactive due to one reason or the other in the past. It is good to hear that things are improving over there although some services have been restricted. Yes, it is good to take all precautions and keep wearing double mask even, when we move outside. We also wear double mask, when we move outside. Let us hope that things will get back to normal in the future.

This is something we should discuss during these days. As people all over the world is facing difficulties, different opinions on the way to get calm and cool will help. In my opinion the best way is to get yourself into some practice like exercise, meditation etc moreover Indians should have to divert from being attached to flying life and get more grounded.

Yes, if we could concentrate on the aspect of keeping our cool and calm, that would help us. The media and newspapers are full of distressing and sad news and that affects our minds badly. One cannot escape media or news reports at all, you will come across it one way or the other. Exercise, yoga and walking (even if it is inside the home) help us feel better. Yes, you are right that we Indians will have to change our life style and will not only have to stay grounded but we will also have to curtail / avoid social gatherings in future. We may also have to curtail our excursion trips to other places. Thanks for sharing your views.

@dpk262006 yes, walking is a great way to stay focused. Media and newspapers are always the same, running for there own business. It's hard for them to find vibing news nowadays all around so they just hangon to hospitals and CoviD news.

When the pandemic first started I found myself, for the first time in my life, feeling anxious all the time. My son is a school teacher and pastor and my daughter is a social worker so I worried about them being infected. As I learned to turn all my worries over to the Lord, He helped me find the “peace that passes understanding” that Jesus spoke of in the Bible.

Sorry to hear that about India, hopefully, your situation will get better soon. I firmly believe that this covid situation needs to turn around sooner or later. In a way, I was "lucky" to have injured myself really badly right before the pandemic and therefore I'm at home all this time waiting for the next operation. This means, I was able to avoid all contacts and stayed healthy. Wish you the best and a quick recovery!
