But it's about multi level marketing. A friend contacted me via FB private message if I was available for a Zoom meeting last night. She's now living in the capital of the country but she's a friend while she's still living here down south part. I went home from work tired but I commit to join at 9 in the evening so I marked my word. We started at exactly 9 in the evening and we finished past twelve. That's a lot of long talk part business and part personal. I thought it's about online work because she'd mentioned on her message that an e-commerce business. Yes, it will be done online but it's a multi level marketing of a health products from one of the global company. I already promised myself to do not engage this kind of activity as I'm not really into this kind of business. The good thing is that she did not put pressure on me to join. I told her to give me time to decide as for now I don't have a capital yet but perhaps I will try the product as a user only.

Just like you I don't like "selling"jobs even if they say it's a "work from home" job. I've received so many offers from company's that sell life insurance or health cards but it's a job that is not for me at all.

Yes. I also had some bad experience with Multi level marketing. It was not easy but there are a lot of people who are good at it. It just that not for me too.

@ZedSmart Me too. When they tell you about it. It sounds so easy but the truth it really depends on the speaker on how they will convince the buyers to agree to be their downline

That is a long Zoom presentation. I would have left. Anyway, it is good that your friend isn't pressuring you to join.

@allen0187 Not sure. It's hard to convince people to join your team.

That's good you have time to decide. Don't put pressure on yourself. It is okay to say no

I was also invited by a colleague to a webinar last week and I obliged but unable to finish because I fell asleep. I also thought I will only be doing cut and paste work as she told me but it's actually a multi level marketing too and have to purchase the products worth 15 thousand pesos or some 30 dollars. I told her that I am not so keen on the product plus I don't like this kind of marketing strategy.

So, actually, you gave away more than 3 hours to her, after a workday. Wouldn't it be better to spend them with your family or just pampering yourself?
These presentations are so boosted and motivational. Believe me, there are professionals behind it.
Have a great day!
