Since visiting London on a weekend break several years ago, I have become very interested in anything to do with the City. I found this book last weekend at a car boot sale and I decided to by it.
It is a very interesting book on the history of London , and as I have visited many of the places featured in the book, it is very relevant to me.
The book goes back in history as far as the Romans until 2007 when this book was printed.

@Ronrybs London must be a great place to live, but is it expensive?

I have a couple of London history and general weirdness books. My two favourites are an encyclopedia from the early 80s and one on the origin of street names printed in the mid 60s. They now have a few gaps in them, but as I am more interested in the older aspects of London, they are fine for me
