It’s for the Birds

Sent away for this birdbath spritzer about a month ago. You can tell by the yellow forsythias which are done blooming now. It’s solar powered and comes with different attachments for different sprays. We saw a red male cardinal bathing in it this morning. He seemed to love it!

That's kool. All I have are old pots and pans with water in them that I put on a table outside

I’m sure the birds appreciate the water no matter what it’s in.

I have a birdbath in my front yard, and there is a male cardinal that comes to enjoy it everyday. I will sometimes see the female cardinal close by, but so far I’ve never seen her in the birdbath. I guess the male likes to keep it all for himself.

@DianneN Could be that. Or maybe she is busy raising the kids while her no good for nothing mate is out partying.

We have lots of ponds and brooks here, but that’s it. The birds love our birdbath, but not our smaller one. Birds must love larger area of water.

I want to get one or two more bird baths. Some birds chase the others away when it gets crowded.

@wolfgirl569 Birdbath? I’d love to see a photo of your new one. I want to get a few more. I have a tiny one in the rock garden, but it’s useless for holding much water. More decorative.

The large ones work well in pools. We should move the birdbath, because it gets shady there in the afternoon, but hubs has it leveled.
