What was your very first Job?

May 19, 2021 1:06am CST
I know, we all go there. having our first Job.. I have my very first job when I was still studying.. We were an On Call banquet attendant at a quite popular hotel here in our area.. the salary was computed as per hour. Sometimes if we have back to back events, I would arrive 7 am and will go home 2 or 3 in the morning, then will follow same time again.. The work was tiring. But what makes me feel alive is that we have served our customers well and they would appreciate our work also.. There's also times that we met local celebrities face to face but can't even have a picture with them, since it's one of the rules of the company not to allowed phones inside the hotel. Sometimes they would chip us some tip and got ourselves some treat after working hours.. That job was actually one of the most that I like.. That is why I think I have turned out being a part time Events coordinator while doing a full time office job today. what was your first job? How did you cope up with it?

I practiced office work at my aunt's office which was located in one of the famous hotels in the 80's. She had a travel agency and I was in college then.

@Hanbinandaeyo not anymore those were my college days. My aunt didn't employ me after college because according to her she cannot afford to pay me lol. My aunt sold her travel agency in the 90's. Modesty aside I can say I am good at office works because I had worked with different companies when I was younger and i held managerial positions. Few months from now I will be getting my second citizenship as senior lol. Anyway am now a public servant and occupying a very sensitive position.

I was a trainer for a pre-need company. It was good as it allowed me to discover my calling for sales and events management.

Thank you for your story, the first job I did was to be a missionary to underdeveloped areas and in the middle of the forest where there live tribes who do not have a religion. I experienced difficulties and suspicions when faced with them all the time. but it was very nice in the end when they accepted me and became Christian.
