Rain, Rain Go Away!

We are in another string of days with just about continual thunderstorms and/or rain.
We are doing fine here in Mississippi but two of the three of my daughters were flooded in yesterday. The flooding was so bad in some areas of Baton Rouge yesterday that people were being evacuated from their homes by the Fire Department. One apartment complex had over 70 calls for evacuations. There were lots of closures including businesses, schools, and colleges in the area.
The Houston, TX area is also experiencing a lot of flooding.
That is why I haven't been online in the last 24 hours. The rain has let off some today but is about to hit again. I was supposed to pick up groceries today but did not get my order finished and my time slot got removed. So new we get to go get groceries tomorrow in the rain and thunderstorms. I've been waiting for a good time and no rain but that doesn't seem to line up. We will see what happens tomorrow.
Hope everyone is doing good! Stay safe if you are in TX, LA, MS!

I am also hoping and praying that the storms stay away from Lake Charles since city services are limited at this time.

I'm sorry your daughters got flooded out of their homes. I've seen pictures of the flooding in the south. It's bad. I'm glad you weren't affected.
Please send the rain up here. We're on the edge of a drought. What moisture we're getting is coming from the gulf. It's just not enough.

They didn't get water in the house but water up to the porches. They couldn't get out of the house for several days being flooded in! Still bad but not as bad as water in the house!
We have a storm now out in the Gulf. I'm hoping it loses formation. We don't need the rain here at all.

@snowy22315 I hope you get some rain! We should have a good week here with some sunshine. I sure hope so. We managed to get the yard mowed here yesterday so Hubby will be heading to other house in Louisiana today to do the yard there.

@kareng Don't float away! We are in a rain deficit here, but it is supposed to rain this week a few days so maybe we will get caught up.

Too bad we can't push the rain where is surely needed. We may get a little in the night tonight but only for three hours and we need much more than that.
A year ago our area flooded and many lost their homes so I understand what people are going through down there.

You are really getting a lot of rain, plus flooding! Here in Michigan, it's far too dry and we need rain badly

Be careful when you do go out, and I'm sending good vibes your way. So far mother nature has left Florida mostly alone. So I'm thankful for that.

It looks like a hurricane is sitting off the Texas coast with all the rain they’re having. What did I hear that Lake Charles had, fifteen inches in the past two days???
PLUS tornadoes.
Hope you stay safe!!!!
