Today was insane busy at work. I show uo and the older lady during the day had called in sick. My day off yesterday (she left early and pulled the she's so sick). I find this amusing since she left after a few hours yesterday, told them yesterday she wasn't coming in today yet her entitled self get Friday to Monday off for the long weekend. I suggested she get 2 weeks off to quarantine and be tested for COVID. So she called in and has almost a full week off. I get in and everyone in a mood because they have no staff. I start and it's insane busy serving double the usual customer. While all of which are moody and sparky comments. Thankfully it's done now 4 more busy days to go!

You always seem to get jobs that are busy and full of drama.

i don't mind the busy part if people arnt in moods. I can't even explain customers attitudes today. But the owner was moody because they can't manage working the hours. So I got annoyed told them maybe if they hired reliable staff.

I honestly just want a job alone in basement. This lady whines about everyone ans anything. Like yesterday she left a nice mess in the utility room then had thr nerve to text me as I have lineups demanding me to clean it. The owner been working and her parents but (her parents) are almost 80 and frankly can't handle it. I'm not saying she wasn't sick but for myself if I called in 2 days I'd suggest I can work another shift to help out whoever (her and her parents) to give them a break. I'd suggest sat or sun replacement. But she screamed how it's not her problem when owner suggested it. That's not how workplaces should work frankly. But as a friend told me I give everything and work 110% where most are lazy incompetent work to survive.

Of course, it's the "long weekend" so people are stocking up. But for some of us, it's been the "long weekend" for over a year. Happy two/four.

Why didn't she take leave for two weeks?

Oh she claim she doesn't have COVID. Well technically if she calls in sick she suppose to get tested.

Your situation is so relatable to me. My company is so chaotic in dealing with their flaws, too

It's frustrating because they keep these people for thr sake of having staff
