Pistachio Ice Cream

I've been in the mood for pistachio ice cream. Don't know where the craving came from because I haven't had pistachio ice cream (or pistachio nuts) in a very long time.
Maybe because I was making a grocery list and browsing through the online aisles of our supermarket? I know they have ice cream on sale this week so maybe subconsciously I saw pistachio?
At any rate, you can be sure if they have it I'm buying it

Gee, I haven't had that for ages. Roomie and I were just talking about pistachios this morning. Back in the days when they had Howard Johnson's everywhere, when I was a little kid we went to one and I had a pistachio ice cream cone. It seemed so exotic..lol.

When I was growing up we had a burger place that had pistachio ice cream and I would always get one for dessert.

@Marilynda1225 Did you get some at the store? I don't think most grocery stores carry it, however, I don't look for it.

I love it but I am trying to give up dairy...
Maybe I could find a non dairy version with no soy too

I like mint chocolate chip too but usually pick chocolate chip cookie dough if I'm going to splurge. However, this time I'm going to get pistachio since I've been in the mood for it

@Marilynda1225 there is a shop in Annapolis Maryland that makes real ice cream (no ice milk) in the back of their store fresh every day.
They have so many fun flavors. But, I am looking for pistachio the next time I go!

@Marilynda1225 I'm not really into nuts but I don't mind trying this ice cream. After all, I love matcha ice cream but I don't like the drink.
! We try to keep pistachio nuts on hand . . . but what I really should do is keep more ice cream on hand

We get pistachio nuts occasionally and my daughter will eat more of them than I do. I'm more of an ice cream fan than nuts

It's funny that you want ice cream but can't choose a flavor. Maybe it's just the idea of having ice cream that's appealing?

I don't eat pistachio nuts very often. I prefer either cashews or peanuts. Do you like any nuts?

I do not know if I have ever had pistachio ice cream to be honest with you.
My weakness is maple walnut ice cream, I remember having that as a treat when I was a child and its still my all time favorite when I eat ice crema, otherwise I eat frozen yogurt.

Maple walnut sounds delicious. I've never had that but I have had butter pecan. I have a friend who loves walnuts on her ice cream.
