I'm sure this has become a pretty common narrative in these COVID times, but I'm afraid I'm here to add one more.
I stumbled upon this interesting little site out of a desire to be productive brought upon by the fact that my city has just been put into MECQ (Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine) due to the rapid spike in cases. I found myself exhausted by this as it's made it seem like the pandemic had no end in sight.
So yeah, I'm sort of rambling now, aren't I? I still don't quite know what to do with myself on here. We'll see.

not much different like here
Last year, when we were in lockdown for more than 3 months, I spent time watching drama marathons.
as much as possible I don't see news on TV about this pandemic, once I see it, I will be restless, thinking about negative things, every day news updates about the number of new deaths that continue to grow.
I never see positive news. that's why i divert it by watching a movie

I try to avoid the news at all costs. It's just depressing so I avoid it.

@sharonelton I try to do the same. I'm afraid I kinda had no choice when waiting for news about the lockdown. I'm now back to avoidance.

We're still under a lot of movement restrictions too. The numbers don't look like they're going to decrease anytime soon. I'm happy we're all safe at home but it has been going on too long that it has started to frustrate many people.

@aidels Same here unfortunately.
It's not very strict here now compared to when the 3rd wave just started. But we're not allowed to travel interstate.

@cahaya1983 Our stricest lockdown is also no longer as strict as it was during the first few months of the pandemic. We have checkpoints all over but it can be easily bypassed. How's the vaccination going in your place?

We're currently under the stricest of lockdowns as well as we've been seeing a rising number of cases including that of the Delta variant, our hospitals are packed.
But yeah, it really is getting frustrating. The pandemic has really hit us all mentally.

Thank you!
I've been on a few of those myself. And yes, different sites require different ways of interacting. And adapting to them is a surprisingly great way to work on different writing styles.
The pandemic does seem unending, but we gotta hold on. So hold on we must. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

Ramble on! I think everybody can agree, our collective mental health took a hit in these trying times. myLot seems like a great place to just pour your thoughts instead of stifling everything in.

@sharonelton Yeah, I don't know where they got the idea that fear mongering and not proper education is the way to go. It also doesn't help that there's so much misinformation going around.

Yeah, that could be the case. Our spike in cases started during Lenten season which is when a lot of people tend to go on vacations. Then summer followed so we had trouble recovering since then. All this when masks and face shields are required. Can only imagine what'll happen when there are people now walking around without masks, vaccinated or not.

Welcome to MyLot. Just tell us how you're feeling. I see you're in the Philippines. How is it there? Are you able to go out to the shops? Have you got things to occupy you when you're in quarantine? I hope you are well.

@sharonelton Thanks. I always need stimulation so I've been lucky at the fending-of-the-boredom-of-lockdown part. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

Thanks! I hope all is fine with you too. My city is currently under lockdown for 2 weeks. And thankfully obtaining essentials is not a problem because we have a pharmacy and a groceey store within walking distance. As for distractions, I have plenty hobby-wise. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)
