Hi, I'm new here! Oh wow, I haven't blogged in years. The last time I did was when I was still in school (cause life is hard and kids are dramatic). But it was a fun outlet – even though the things I logged where probably inconsequential and mundane. I used to sprinkle my entries with kaomojis like this (?´?`) but I'm not sure if it'll show correctly here. We'll see.
I also remember being very invested in the communities (livejournal, if anyone's curious) because I was particularly fond of Japanese Rock music in my teens and nobody I knew in real life was interested in the things I was.
Signing up was one of the tiny excitements of the day for me, reminds me of OpenDiary of the 90s without the monetary perks. I hope to share more with anyone who'd stumbled upon my micro-blog! Gonna head to bed for now, till then.
Edit: Ok, so the kaomojis don't show. Merhh.

Welcome friend Peony. I hope you have a good time with us. Here we can share with many friends, anything that causes us to talk. Some will be interested in your posts, others will not, but that's the dynamic.
Enjoy it.

@bumblebeepeony "Less to whine about" haha yeah, pretty much. Wow, you mean there's still some activity there? Sometimes I do stumble upon links to LJ in my searches but I thought they were archived or something.

Hey! I think I abandoned ship fairly quickly once I got into art school cause school suddenly became more interesting (less to whine about ha!) LJ seems very different now, but I'm surprised to see some of the old communities still thriving.

No you have to use the emoji links if you want them to be visable. Mylot has it's own code. However, blogging can be fun. I used to do a lot of it as a kid, too. My writing has improved since then.

Yep, I see they use BBCode but was wondering if unicode symbols are supported. I see now that they aren't haha! Oh, I agree! I used to write short stories in the LJ communities, that improved my writing significantly.

Hello and welcome to myLot. Enjoy the site! The first thing you should do is to read the Guideline Rules so that you know what is allowed or not on this site. Read around, Like and Comment as much as you can to make yourself known to the community.
Although it's not obligatory, it would be a good idea to add the name of your country to your account page to make your posts more understandable.
This is where you will find out what kinds of behavior are accepted and unaccepted on myLot. When in doubt, remember the Golden Rule!

Thank you! Japanese rock :–) I prefer that genre and the aesthetics (Visual Kei).
