Arbi leaves plants of my mini garden

hello, all myLot users, Today i share arbi leaves pic which grown in my garden. here in my colony this leaves grown much without much attention it. my mom uses this leaves and make it wadi, paatra. by indian name i call this dish pakoda. actually i'm not much like dishes made by this leaves but i like this leaves' shape here i call it by name ARBI KA PATTA (ARBI LEAVES). also its call by other name like Colocasia leaves and Taro leaves. so, guys do you know this leaf? what name is call in your country? & what do you use of this leaves?

I love patra and the curry made out of it. My grandmother was an expert in that. We don't get it here. We do get arbi though and I like that too. Cooking it is a tedious job and one needs to add lot of lime juice to avoid itching while cleaning it or even in the dish so that our tongue doesn't itch later.

@ankurdini One needs a lot of patience to cook patra and definitely a skill learned with practice to have it come our neat and yummy. It is actually an art.

Beautiful leaves! I have heard of Taro leaves but I have never seen that plant in the US before. Thank you for sharing!

We call it Elephant's Ear in my part of the US. I grow it in pots in my house and outside in my flowerbed. I once cooked some of it to see how it tastes and didn't like it. I think it looks beautiful as a houseplant, though.
