Lightening Just Struck Something

We, had just finished eating, and I thought I heard more rain, I went to the back door and fire enough there's more rain. Since I had finished eating, I thought I'd come lay on the bed. All of a sudden lightening struck, it scared my cat he ran away. I am still sitting here, thunderstorms are quite scary. So now we will have to just wait and see, We have had rain everyday, for nearly a week. Hope you all who needs it get it.

We don't get thunderstorms around here very often due to our particular geography, but we got a lot of them last summer. Unfortunately, they also started the wildfires that we had to deal with for months too.

We've been getting a little rain. We could probably use a good soaking rain for a whole day.
Yes, the lightening and thunder can be scary; especially when they pop up so quickly. Sometimes we get a loud clap of thunder and I scream. Then our poor cats get scared and run like the wind.
I don't know what scares them more; the thunder or my screaming.
