So you're a night owl.I like to study early in the morning from 4 am.Thats the time when I remember everything I studied.
But I use to study till 2am during high school,I have tried all times of the day for studying and found early morning was best for me.

It's different for everybody.
Some like to study at night, some in the morning, some in the daytime.
What is good and bad according to that don't make sense.
Whenever someone finds time and learns, that is the best time for him/her.

I also prefer late night studies, it's quiet and I grasp my concepts way better but for other people it may be the opposite. It all comes down to what works for you, maybe one day you could try to sleeping early and waking up early for morning study to see if it works out better for you.

Some people absorb more at night while others during the day. I could never really motivate myself to study, and remembered more, when things were read to me. It's how I ended up having to retake anatomy, because I'd been accused of cheeting by having my mom read the book to me when my vision started to decline.

The only issue with studying late into the night is that classes are during the day. If only there was night school too.
