Do you trust the Covid vaccine?

A rushed and relatively untested vaccine comes out for a virus that doesn't pose a huge health risk to most people. The standard testing of 3-5 years is bypassed with CDC approval. The vaccine is rushed to market. CDC recently held an emergency meeting due to vaccination side effects and deaths.
I see many here discussing how awful it is for others to reject this vaccination. One person said they wouldn't let their unvaccinated son into their house.
Others say those refusing the vaccine are doing so for political reasons.
If you get the vaccination you're safe, right?
CDC says no. Even with the vaccine, you can still get Covid.
So. The vaccine is rushed and relatively untested, won't prevent Covid and people are pressuring others to get the shot.
No one knows how the vaccine will affect people 3 months from now or 3 years from now.
Here's an idea. You do you and let others decide if the risk is worth the benefit.
Do you believe the Covid vaccination should be mandatory?

So you trust the vaccine then.
Should it be mandatory?

@Vikingswest1 Yes I trust it. I don't think it should be mandatory. If people want to be stupid then they are welcome to get sick and die.

A healthy person's immune system will defeat the virus.
Thanks for identifying those that think differently than you, stupid.

It may seem rushed, for these specific vaccines, but vaccine research into viruses has been going on for a long time.
I am not concerned that I will have any issues down the road
Some people, have terrible lung damage due to Covid
The numbers show that it is mainly non vaccinated people getting Covid now. Almost 100%

@Vikingswest1 Well, we are approaching 70% vaccination rate in Alberta. Maybe that is good enough.
I am sure we may have to prove we are vaccinated to enter some countries.

One thing we must keep in mind is that the virus will continue to circulate this is a fact. We cannot deny that the vaccine has to be mandatory.
I know some people who have already taken covid even after taking the second dose.

If the vaccine doesn't prevent Covid, is it a vaccine or a placebo?

The upside to the Covid vaccines is that they protect you from having all the associated health risks of getting Covid. You can get the vaccine or not... Just don't preach to me about it when you get Covid and pass it to your elderly relatives and they die from it.

I have no problem with vaccines. I just think that skipping clinical trials and the standard testing and using the public to test the vaccine is unwise.
That's all.

Then the decision for you was easy.
I have been weighing it since the rush to market began, believe me.
I just want to wait until a more clear history can be viewed. I guess I'm viewing those getting the vaccination as test subjects in a live clinical trial.
I've just seen too many cases of good intentions gone bad to trust it.

@Vikingswest1 I actually agree with that... The thing with me is that I'm in the high risk group. I'd rather take the vaccine than risk dying from the virus.

I'm waiting for more time to pass before I'll consider the vaccine.
It just hasn't had the normal testing.
The first large scale trials are taking place right now with the public serving as test subjects.
I just have reservations. I may change my mind as more evidence comes in but I just don't trust this one.

I am fully vaccinated , I didn't get any vaccine side effects also .
It depends on which covid vaccine.
But most of the covid vaccine is good , they can prevent if we are infected after vaccination then it may be mild or rarely moderate infection but we can fight with it .
Every medicine have side effects then vaccine also have like soreness, pain in injection sites , fever bodyache etc. But it will be for 1 to 3 days .rarely in 1 or 2 patient in thousands we saw they had vaccine related clotting that leads heart attack , but it's rare if we have some co morbidity related to heart and using blood thinners ,in this case some covid vaccine not advisable.
From my opinion, vaccine is key to prevent covid infection to become severe

It skipped standard testing and clinical trials. It was rushed to market. We are the test subjects.
You can't blame a rational person for viewing THIS vaccine with skepticism when this one comes without the standard tests relaxed by the US CDC.
It didn't undergo the safety testing in trials before going to market.

@Vikingswest1 if its skipped from clinical trials, then nobody will tell about its results, it will be beneficial or not.

I do, and it is 1,000 times better than getting Covid or giving it to someone else. Yes, very slim possibility of still getting infected..or passing it..but the vaccine is important.

First of all, at least in the states, no COVID vaccine is approved by the FDA only Authorized for "emergency use" which means it's still in clinical trials, and since they can't get humans to participate in those trials, they've rushed it out, knowing that if it's avaible someone will get it. Then they take the data from reported side affects and subsuquent deaths to add to their trail data. The funny thing is, for a trail to be successful, you need a control group... where do you think they are getting that data?
Makes me wonder.
I ton't fully believe in vaccanations in general. I would never understand why someone would take the gamble of getting sick, to protect them from a virus, that they would otherwise fight off themselves.
Cases and numbers can be falsified (it was proven true in the state where I live)
So, no. I am not going to take any vaccine, period. I don't have to.

I'll wait it out. I'm pretty sure that I've been exposed and my immune system was able to fight it off.

No, not mandatory. I was refusing and wound up getting it yesterday. It was just an intuition thing to just do it after research and prayer. I made sure it was the Pfizer. The moderna and J&J seems to have more side effects. It's supposed to help us not get it as bad. Kind of like getting the flu shot. Which, I still won't do. I had the vaccine for it once and was so sick, I rather had the flu.

I am waiting for a little more time to pass and more results are known.
I'm low risk and relatively sheltered here. I'm not against vaccines, I'm just not convinced that taking this vaccine right now is in my best interests, all things considered.

I'm waiting for a bit before I'll consider it. It's just too new and hasn't been tested properly.
