I Had a Bad Accident On June 5th

I was side stepping on my deck admiring my vegetables including this beautiful pepper, when somehow I lost my balance and went down like a ton of bricks!
I landed on my left side and suffered a bruised and swollen upper thigh, a banged up shoulder, and an awful welt on my forearm. Hubs wasn’t home, but I pulled myself up using the deck railings crushing a few zucchini leaves and iced myself.
I’m still black and blue and my thigh still aches, but I’ll live. Also hurt my back picking up a laundry basket. Still out of wack.
My point is that I had to wear an old long sleeve dress to my granddaughter’s festivities. Never a dull moment with me! Just sayin’.

Oh my gosh - that was a doozy of a fall ! Hope you feel better and heal completely soon!
About a couple months or so before my sister in law's wedding, my MIL tripped while walking and did a face plant. She got a black eye and half of her face gradually got purple (not sure if she actually banged it up or if the bruise just drained down). In any case, she was concerned how she would look for the wedding. It didn't disappear all the way in time, but they were able to find make up that would cover it up well and last. I'm sure you pulled it off as well that no one even noticed!

Thanks! My thigh is still the worst, but no one will be able to see it.
Those black eyes are notorious for sliding down the face. So glad the makeup worked. I need makeup like that just to cover my natural mug!
True, I was covered up well and took two Tylenol for my back in the morning. Now I have to decide whether or not to return the dress I bought. No where fancy to go now.

Oh no..I have fallen on the stairs here before and nearly killed myself...(exaggerating a bit) You should have seen the bruise I got one time..It was something else...my whole left butt cheek was black! It's a miracle I didn't break my tailbone.

@DianneN Yes, but it felt better when I was lying down and kind of distributing the weight. I had a cousin who broke her tailbone ice skating and had to sit on pillows for a month.

I'm sorry. I hope you feel better soon...
I've been getting dizzy a lot lately. I'll have to talk to my doctor about it next time I see her.

@DianneN You're welcome and thanks...
I check my blood pressure after having a dizzy spell and it's right where it's always at. We thought at first it was because I get up too fast so my body has trouble adjusting but I also get dizzy while just standing and talking with someone... *shrug*
"Dizzy blonde" my butt!

@kobesbuddy Oh, yikes! Glad you didn’t break your hip. Thank goodness for the kindness of that lady. I can’t believe the men didn’t rush to help you! People!

@DianneN That's terrible, I'm so glad you are healing up:) The last fall I had, Kobe twisted the leash around my ankles and I fell into the pavement. My right hip was injured, but not broken. Two neighbor men stood in a yard gazing, not even concerned! A woman jumped out of her car screaming, 'Are you all right?'
