Stars! Where are they gone?

I spend my nights gazing at the sky and it's beautiful glittering stars at night but I wonder why I don't see any stars in the skies for the past three weeks or more. Yesterday after many nights i saw a big lonely shiny star glittering in the western sky and I think it's probably the Evening star, which is the Venus. Do you see them anymore? Where are they gone or hidden?

If you're in the city, it's likely light pollution.

I thought something was not right in the sky. Since yesterday I can see some twinkling so feeling better.

If the sky is cloudy, you can't see stars. You don't notice clouds in the dark.

The stars are still there and they never leave but when the clouds are out and there is bad weather they are covered up.
