Amazon Prime Days came and went (June 21-22); and I barely took notice of them. There was nothing that I wanted or needed. Except that now I remembered that I wanted to get an external webcam for taking videos and pictures. More and more focus groups are requiring that the participants record videos and take pictures for the project. A focus group is, according to the internet: "A focus group is a market research method that brings together people to provide feedback regarding a product, service, concept, or marketing campaign. A trained moderator leads a 30-90-minute discussion within the group that is designed to gather helpful information." For the usual 60-minute online discussion, you are paid quite well...$50 and up. I've received as much as $150. They also have online bulletin boards and other forms of study projects for which I've received as much as $250. So there was THAT; and then my husband, who has taken over the cooking chores, said he wanted a cordless mixer. So I will have to bite the bullet and pay full price for these items.
