Postcard from Grover, NC

This postcard looks as if it should come from London, but it's from the US. It's not an old postcard, but it's made to look like one. I know this because I've seen it for sale on Amazon.
The sweet lady that sent it wrote "may all your days be blessed and full of joy." This was a very kind thing for her to write.
I love getting snail mail and even though I don't send cards on Postcrossings as much as I once did--I've kept each one that I've received which is close to 400.
Have you ever visited the city of Grover (population 638) or North Carolina (population over 10,000,000)?
Picture is mine.

No, I've never been that way. I've traveled all over the western US and took my daughter up to Pennsylvania to go to college, but that's about it. (I live in Missouri.)
It's an interesting postcard, though. I have a collection of postcards but I purchased them as I traveled.

@misunderstood_zombie Oh, okay...
Have you been hiding out for a few months or did they finally release you from prison?

@LadyDuck That is so nice. It's so much easier to travel to other countries in Europe since there isn't a giant body of water in the way--plus there is a great rail system from what I have read.

Yes, I've always wanted to travel to London and ride around in a red bus, on the upper level of course.

@misunderstood_zombie She hasn't gotten that many of them, at least she hadn't in the spring..maybe 4-6. She just started I think though either in December or January.

@snowy22315 It takes a while to begin with because they only trust you with five at a time. There are a lot of flakey people that join receive a few cards and leave.

When I saw the picture I also thought it looks like pictures I have seen of England with the double-decker bus. I have never heard of Grover or have not been to North Carolina before. 400 is a lot.

I am glad you enjoy getting postcards. Do the people ever wonder why you do not write back to them?

@Hannihar No, it's a one time situation, though some people put there return address and many people do write to each other as penpals and sometimes meet up. But normally it's send one get one from a new person.

It's a postcard in a set that can be bought off of Amazon. It's quite fun to receive postcards.

Never been to Grover, NC but my Mom was born and raised in Newton pop 13,000. We would visit my Grandad and Aunt, Uncle and cousins on summer vacations. I'm actually going to Raleigh next week to visit my brother.
Definitely a different postcard

Is the woman who sent you this one mylot? I used to collect postcards of places I went to when I was young. I know a few members here collect postcards but I don't recall who. How do you store the ones you get? I used to keep mine in a photo album.

No, I send and receive them on postcrossings.com a site that's free to use and will give you random addresses of other members around the world. I keep mine in a box though an album would also be nice.

On postcrossings the highest sent by one person is 32,000 cards. Most people on the site have sent many more than I have, because it's so much fun.

It takes a while to get started. It's hard when you start out because you can only send and receive small amounts, but the more you're on there the more you receive. I'm sorry that happened.

I have never visited North Carolina but I did a quick search on Grover online and it seems like a nice little town, rich history! Also, I miss receiving postcards! The last time I received one was many years back.

That's great that you looked it up. I almost did but I decided that the town was so small it might not have any history about it. Silly me, every place has history.
