there's at least 2 types of people. One is an open book and Two is close book.
The open book type of people is easily tells people or at least their loves one about their problems, they worries, what they like and they don't like, what make them upset, how they are feeling and so on
And the close book type of people is the opposite of that. They tend to keep it to themselves. All their problem, their worries, and how they feel, they keep it even from their loved one. Because they feel people just curious and don't really care.
so which one are you? the close or open one?

After being hurt a lot of times, I feel like I am turning into a closed book.

@cacay1 It is a culture in our country to value family second to God. In western culture, you try to be independent and get rid of toxic people even if they are family members for your own mental health and happiness.

I keep all my worries to myself and don't share. The reason is, I don't want my closed ones to worry along with me. Worries bring in tension, sadness and depression which I don't love to share. I don't mind sharing my woes with strangers, if they are ready to lend an ear, but never to loved one
So I don't know, if am a closed or an open book

I normally keep things to myself, so I suppose I am a closed book. However , the people close to me normally guess when there is something wrong, so I have to tell them eventually.
Which are you?

@nzlz123 When people notice there is something wrong, it is good to get it out in the open and then sometimes the problem can be solved.

This depends on my mood. There are times when I'm open book and other times I'm closed

My book is almost closed. I share with the people I feel comfortable about sharing my heart with, but I am not one to blab about my feelings to just anyone. I think when people are hurt, or bad things happen to them, the book shuts down some. Plus, you learn from time and from others that some things are just better off not discussed with some people. A delicate balance, I guess.

I have a tendency to keep things to myself more than most people do. I am sure it has a lot to do with past hurts, but then again, when someone blabs your personal business, you learn quickly to just not share it anymore. I am thankful for the few people who I can trust and who trust me. Not violating that trust is one of the best gifts a person can give or receive.

I am open book now. I used to be close book but that did not help. I would have anger issues, and I was also so crammed up in my mind - overwhelmed with my emotions and self pity that I would end up getting angry without being able to explain why though in my mind I was clear why. It was kinda other feelings rushing before the actual feeling. I feel far more relaxed and have more patience than before. It may or may not be the right thing to do. But this is how it is.

I prefer to be open, It's not easy to be open to someone we don't know. That's always a problem for someone to make friends. Be an open person, don't wait for someone else to open up to you. If you want to be a good friend, learn to be open to others.
