To crypto or not to crypto?

Even though I heard about bitcoin 10 years ago and I watched the crypto market skyrocket, I never thought about investing in crypto coins. Mainly because I see no real value anywhere and secondly... because I am lazy . Crypto assets can spawn some millionaires, but it can also destroy many more people. Sure, stock market can do it too, but crypto coins are better at this . Well, one month ago I decided to study it a little. There are like a gazillion sites that claim you will get rich in one month or week or even one day . No surprise there, this goes a long way back. The thing is, like with all speculative assets, you need some money to invest. And you must do it right. I have no money (actually, I do, but they are for other things) so I started to check some sites that you can use for free. Well, as expected, you can make only a few cents or dimes every day. Sure, if you use lots of sites, it adds up, but is it worth the time? Not really, you could do better. My conclusion is that sites like Mylot are still the best, you do something you like and you also get some pocket change.

I will stick to my usual routine. If I can make a dollar or two here and there, fine, if not, fine again. Crypto seems to much of a bother right now.

The problem with the cryptocurrencies is that there are SO many sites. Some of them are not safe, and the currency in general is very volatile. I'll stick with having fun here on myLot.

Exactly my point. At least here we're having fun and we interact with real people. We'll se, maybe later crypto coins will be the new standard, but I don't think it will happen soon. For now they are just a speculative and volatile... "thing".

Well, 10 years ago I wanted to buy 100 Bitcoins (it was 1$ back then) and use them for an online game.

Yup, I joined Mylot because I don't like FB . And it got me curious. Unfortunatley I don't have much time available for Mylot, but from time to time I come to see what's new .

Yeah, something like that. I wouldn't use my hard earned money to buy it, but I don't dismiss it completely .

Indeed. Crypto is good, but mainly for securing some networks, not for the coins. The coins are for those that love the adrenaline .

Or if you don't use your hard earned money . In the end, a little adrenaline can be a nice thing. But just a little!

No one is responsible for these cryptocurrencies, so they can collapse overnight. Maybe those into them know better.

Yep. Crypto coins are different from the usual assets. When you have a house you can set a value for it based on what it can offer. A car, a TV set, 100 $, a book, one ounce of gold, for them you have some real value. For crypto coins you only have a desire.

i personally think that until the Crypto currencies are embraced and normalized, it is risky to invest.

No, this is not investment, it's worse than gambling . At least for now. Sure, I would love to have a few bitcoins, but I wouldn't put my money on it. Not to buy, no, no.
