Today's song in my head is another song from the movie "Con Air" which was released in 1997. "Sweet Home Alabama" has been used in many commercials and movies. Some of the other movies are "Forrest Gump", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Joe Dirt". In fact, what stuck "Sweet Home Alabama" in my head was hearing it at the end of "Joe Dirt" that my husband was watching.
It was recorded by southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1974 on their second album. It reached #8 on the U S Billboard Hot 100 and #6 on the Canada Top Singles chart. Turn up the volume for this toe-tapping single.
