Do you know about the star shaped sand of Okinawa, a place in japan
there a few beaches have actual star shaped sand particles which are actually the remains of a microscopic unicellular protists called Foraminifera carcasses that are brought from the sea by tides.

I have learned something new today because I did not know about this. I always thought all sand was the same size and shape. I did know that you can get sand in different colours .
