Finally got to swim today. It was great. How is the weather where you are?

We've had a couple of weeks of cool and pleasant days here in the Bay Area. I
enjoyed the 78 degree temperatures, but things had cooled down in the evenings to the point where I didn't feel like jumping into the pool.
Today was different. We hit a high of about 96 F, and I jumped in the pool twice today. I got some work done from home, but didn't really have to go anywhere far away. It was good. I feel energized. And I enjoyed watching the Indian kids learning to swim while I laughed with their parents.
Tomorrow I have to (get to?) work at the flaky preschool, so won't make it to the pool until later. But it's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow, so I'll probably do an evening swim.
How is the weather where you are?

It's cold here and it's supposed to start raining in 32 minutes. No pool here today.

@TheHorse So, after you become Governor, you will move the capital to San Fransisco! I was hoping you would

@xander6464 Pittsburg. Or maybe Antioch. We need our capital city to accurately represent the demographics of California.

Glad you enjoyed swimming. It's still hot and humid and no respite from the heat

@Butterfingers Ah, thanks for the info. Here it rains (if at all) mostly in Winter.

We are just today entering a hot scenario. It has been below 90, but today it will be 96. I do not have a pool on premises, but would like to go swim.

You mean the earthquake near the California/Nevada border didn’t jolt you out of the pool?

@TheHorse — you don’t even acknowledge those things below a 7.2, right?

@FourWalls 7.2? We might not even feel that.

It got up to 85F today. This is the warmest it's been so far this year. The mornings have been around the mid 60s for several weeks now. It's very nice when Pretty and I go for our morning walk.

The flooding is pretty bad here after Tropical Storm Elsa came through, so we might all be swimming soon if this water doesn't start receding. And it doesn't help that we keep getting more rain dumped on us every day from our normal summer weather patterns.

@TheHorse I have kayaks. And yes, I've had to use them to cruise the flooded streets after a hurricane!

@moffittjc Heh. Glad you're well-preparared. Kayaking is fun! Floods aren't so good for things stored in basements, though. Do you even HAVE basements there?

Funny looking whale, there...
I filled my little kiddie pool in which I like to put my feet but it's been so hot it keeps evaporating (that is, when it's not raining).

Hot, muggy, and any other adjective you can use to describe summer heat and humidity.
That pool looks sooooo good. I wish I could jump in it right now!!
