Fresh Peaches For Dessert

Got a call from my neighbor earlier. He went downtown with his daughter to the farmer's market. He brought back a few baskets of peaches. Too many for him. So he offered to share. He said they even had fresh peach ice cream. He enjoyed a bowl with his daughter. I will try to go with them on their next visit. Of course I offered to pay him, and he said no way. Just take what you can use. So I brought home a few. Just had one after dinner. Oh my goodness, was it ever good. Sweet and juicy. Nothing like a fresh peach. Blessed with good neighbors as well. Have not had fresh peaches in awhile. I forgot just how good they are.

Fresh peaches. I love peaches. I would want to grow them if I ever have a chance to do so. Maybe someday I will buy a land to grow peaches.

they are blessed with a good neighbor as well!!! fresh peach ice cream is amazing - we also break out the ice cream maker just for that in August!

You are right! There is nothing better than a fresh peach...that is if you life peaches! We used to have a truck come in from GA every year to LSU and he would sell out before lunch! I miss those peaches!! Enjoy them and have one or two for me!!

Juicy and sweet peaches are a delight. I never had a peach ice cream though. Such fruits are good during extreme summers.

That was wonderful of him to offer you peaches. I have some in my fridge, from the store, so not as good as your fresh ones. They should be ready to eat.
