School shopping, bridal shower and graduation party

Friday I noticed in my cellar freezer that a bottle of whiskey that had a few sips in it had frozen solid. Whiskey doesn’t freeze so I’m sure my stepson got into it drank most of it and put water in it to try to trick us into thinking he didn’t.
He did the same thing about 2 years back with a bunch of wine my husband had bought.
I did that as a teen to once too. Had it not been my children’s late fathers whiskey I saved since he died in 2011 it wouldn’t have bothered me as much.
I took my son school shopping. I had to buy him size 10 1/2 shoes. Both my kids have big feet like their father did.
Saturday at 1 my daughter and I went to her cousins bridal shower. The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous and the girls mother did the most amazing job decorating the tables and room etc. Prettiest bridal shower I’ve ever been to! The bride to be and groom are such a sweet couple I’m so happy for them. Rarely does anyone on my children’s fathers side invite us to anything since he died so I was so happy to be invited.
Sunday was my nephews graduation party I made deviled eggs and a new recipe “Creamy jello fruit dip”. Just as we were leaving my daughter knocked over the entire thing of deviled eggs onto the floor. That made me start crying. Darn pregnancy hormones. Then when I picked the platter up one handed to carry into the house I cracked it. The fruit dip wasn’t good either so luckily there was a lot of other yummy food there.
Photo is the whiskey bottle after I washed it out. Figured at least having a photo of it before I recycle it is good.

Busy weekend. But I wish you only the bridal shower memories. It seems that you had your share of problems too.

@marguicha it could have been worse. I was just very emotional with all these pregnancy hormones.

@shaggin What will be the age difference with the rest of your children? Myy eldest granddaughter is 20 years older than her youngest sister (half sister).

@CarolDM I'm very glad to have been invited and able to attend. They are fun and it's nice to be able to visit with people I don't see very much.
I have a family reunion to go to this Saturday (which is also my due date and a graduation party I have to go to) and I am making another fruit dip and fruit platter. Hopefully this one turns out better.

You are correct Whiskey does not freeze. I keep a bottle of vodka all the time in the freezer to serve it chilled and it never freezes. I am sorry he consumed this special bottle, he should have not.
I am so glad you were invited at this Bridal shower.
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry about the deviled eggs and the broken platter. Well things happen, the important is not to be injured.

@snowy22315 I don’t see much of him he stays in his room pretty much the entire day and night. He’s way better then when he was a kid and I met him though.

Oh my gosh, I never would have thought of that bottle "trick"! The bridal shower sounds wonderful - hope you and your daughter had a lovely time. Oh no about the eggs and the fruit dip . . . I'd just be thinking "after all that work - sigh".

Certainly sounds like all in all it was up and down between the whiskey, the bridal shower and the graduation party. Good idea taking a picture of the whiskey bottle.

@ThatDisha he’s been in Maryland at his grandparents so I haven’t been able to talk to him yet. I had to clean his room and am not happy with other things I found. I will be grounding him for a week when he gets home.
