Preparing to celebrate differently

Tomorrow is children's day in my country. I am excited to do something for my two children. Due to the economic and health situation that my country is going through, many children will be left without gifts and will not even be able to go out to a park because it is not yet allowed by the pandemic. I had the opportunity to live a beautiful childhood that my father gave me, full of moments, gifts and love. I think of my children and it makes me helpless that they can no longer live childhood as I did, full of happiness. Tomorrow I will buy you some candy or cookies and we will be home. I'll come up with something so we can play and hang out at home.

Hello Karen! Well today some relatives that I have in Spain sent him some gifts from there. My childrens were happy. They had a good time today and I am happy to see their small faces full of smiles. Thanks for your friendship.

Interesting to know there is such a children's day in your country. We don't have one in ours. True, parents want the best for their children. Discovered long ago though that the best parents can give their children is the time they spend together. That means you have a good plan there. I played 'Good, Better, Best' with my daughters. I, of course, was always the loser. My daughters are smarter. Ha ha. Enjoy the bonding.

@YuleimaVzla Quite a load on your back. Yet the children know your sacrifice. Don't worry much because children understand too well your situation. Besides, children forged in fire become better human beings. Will pray for you and your family tonight. Have a marvelous children's day tomorrow!

That's right. I always give quality time to my children, I am a single mother and I also have to take care of my mother, with which taking care of my children to play is difficult. I should think about supporting them financially. But sometimes I see their faces and they invite me to play and I tell them that I can't now and they get sad. So I regret it and take a moment from working to hug them and make them feel that I love them.

@eileenleyva Your prayers come at a good time. God knows all the burdens and the efforts of all, knows what we are and what we are worth. Thank you for your words.

It is a sad reality. But times change. How beautiful to play outdoors without a mask. Thanks.

If you're stuck at home, a scavenger hunt might be fun. You'll think of something, I'm sure. It's too bad the celebtations are off.

Oh! Wow! Something like this had not occurred to me. Perhaps the treasures can be candies and sweets? Great, thank you so much!

@YuleimaVzla Yes! You can give them an activity to earn their rewards. It's not as good as going to an amusement park or a zoo but a fun memory can still be made. I hope you have an outstanding day and your kids find fun in these tough times. Happy Children's Day to you and yours.

I'm sure you'll make their childhood as happy as yours was. My mother once told me that every day is children's day in the US.

@DaddyEvil Amazing! We had a wonderful time, we went to a park that was open to the public and there were clowns and people painting faces of the balloon children and where I live a neighbor passed by giving sweets and candies to all the street children. My oldest son said: today was the best day of the child of all!
