July 27 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was an okay day. Not perfect, but okay. I didn't make it to the Y this morning due to rain. We got .66 of an inch. So quite a bit of rain before it came to an end around 8 this morning. It started around 1 AM.
I'm thankful I could walk the trail after the rain stopped. I met another resident from the same building I'll be moving into. Another very nice woman.
I'm thankful I got all my fitness goals met today. I'm well over 22K for steps, that despite my being unable to get to the pool this morning. I should tomorrow. There's no rain in the forecast overnight. However, there is rain in the forecast tomorrow.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Vendetta this morning. I got through five chapters this morning before calling it quits. I'm hoping to get another five chapters finished tomorrow.
I'm thankful I got through the notifications this morning. It was great to see what you're all up to in your corner of the world.
I'm thankful I'm finally seeing the Olympics on Peacock. I watched the Gymnastics event. Not a great day for Team USA. Hopefully, the next one I watch they will have worked out the nerves and can do better than today's qualifying session I saw. I don't know when this event first happened. I'm just glad I could finally see it.
Okay, that and packing up one drawer in the kitchen is my day. I'm glad I finally found my birth certificate. Now, I need to put it in a better place than a kitchen drawer.

We had a nice day today even with a bit of rain. It was my granddaughter's 9th birthday so we had a little celebration with a birthday cake for her. She loved her gifts and then they headed out to the beach and hubby and I watched them from the balcony.
I missed the qualifying session but heard it wasn't good for Team USA. I did see the final tonight and I won't spoil that for you!! I was wondering what happened and went on from the "talk" I was hearing here and there earlier this evening.

No, it wasn't good. I doubt we get gold out of it. I plan on watching it tonight, especially with all the news I've heard about Simone Biles pulling out of a couple of events.

Your day sounded pretty good to me even if you said it wasn't perfect. It's nice you met another lady from the new building and will have a familiar face when you move in.
I'm thankful I got my new refrigerator without any trouble this time.

Much to be thankful of including learning more of where the secret place of the Most High is when watching a program on the reason to use the prayer Shawl (tallit). you aare abiding under the shadow of the almighty and it it is just you and him in communion together aas all other things are shut out as ou spend your time with him.
