How To Kill A Cat.

That is my neighbors question to me when I saw her this morning. Apparently a stray cat gave birth in one part of their roof that is hidden.
How am I supposed to answer that? Never in my wildest dream I thought of killing a cat or a dog!?! Maybe a rat but I called the pest control to take care of that problem.
The numbers of stray cats in our street is incredibly growing. My neighbors are feeding them but not giving them shelter.
The village administration is not doing anything also.
Though I am not a cat lover, I do not wish or think on how to kill them.

Oh no!!! I love cats. and kittens... I hope somebody will adopt them. I used to get stray kittens in the city and bring them home... Hihihi Now we have lots of cats at home... The last time I counted them, we have 15..

@iridion9 I am not sure how much because aside from those cats, we also have 5 dogs... They eat rice and fish... For their rice, they consume about 35 kilograms in one month...
My mother cooks their own food aside from our leftovers... Aside from that, they also have dry food...

Fortunately I don't know the answer to that question, and I don't want to know. It is something I could never do. We have a few stray cats in my area, and one of our neighbors is feeding them.

My neighborhood has the same problem. My neighbors feed the stray cats but don't give them shelter.
Perhaps the advisable thing to do is to call the pound.
And tell your neighbor that what she has in mind is cruelty to animals.,

@rakski Uh Oh. Our pound catches cats also.
That really is a problem in your neighborhood.

@rakski People throw the baby cats into the country because they think country people always want more cats... *sigh* The people need to spay and neuter their cats so they stop having kittens instead of pushing them off on others.

@DaddyEvil is it possible to spay and neuter all animals? This is something I heard it for the first time.
The word itself was new to me....
Thanks I learnt something new

Your neighbors wanting to exercise the "cruelty" in "animal cruelty" is very disheartening. They could just have the kittens and their mother taken by the city pound or even any of the trusted, legitimate animal organizations that can provide shelter and arrange for eventual adoption.

@rakski Yeah. It's something that tends to get overlooked, these stray cats and dogs. I see a lot of people willing to adopt these animals when I see posts about it on Facebook. The willingness is there, it's just a lack of resources that's the problem.

I have three Terriers. They could clear your street of cats in an hour.
You need to call animal control. Doing nothing in this case may cause conditions to get worse for the cats.
Especially when neighbors are looking for a way to kill them.

Oh gosh why would anyone want to do that? I hope they find a way to resolve the issue that wouldn't harm those cats.

I am not a cat lover either but killing them has never crossed my mind. I just wish that someone is ready to adopt them. Sterilization is the only effective way to control population of street animals. Village authorities should do something about that.

@rakski You can bring it up to their notice. These people need someone to stand behind them and push them to get the work done.

I hope they don't kill the cat and her kittens. I'm sad enough that lately my cat named Candyboy disappeared for 2 weeks now. I don't know what happen to him. And he is the 3rd cat that disappeared from my Cat Kingdom.

I think that is awful, what else can be done? Besides killing them.

Oh my. I never think of killing a cat. The government must do something about it. They should at least have a shelter and get them spayed and neutered to prevent them from having more babies.
