My heart aches when learn that my country's bet for another gold medal is defeated by the Japanese foe. She was the same female boxer who defeated Nesthy in Rio Olympics.
I am so sorry guys, I bragged here wrongly in my previous post that Petecio won gold medal, but already aired my apology here and you accepted. This time is the real talk time, Petecio the hope for the second gold medal goes wrong. I may watch in YouTube how powerful her foe is.
Despite this, Petecio is assured of a Silver Medal and a House and Lot worth 2.8 millions awaits her in a subdivision in Quezon city. That's life we face to face and embrace to move on.
The photo here shows Nesthy and her foe she smilingly hugged.

@aidels, it was not a close fight for the score was 5-0. I have to watch the video to know how powerful this Japanese is. Irie was defeated by Nesthy only once in their 4 fights. She would still bring home as Silver medal and a cash reward from our government in the amount of 5 million pesos, house and lot and another millions reward from private sectors and business tycoons. One housing agency in Quezon city pledged House and Lot worth 2.8 millions for Nesthy. We feel proud of our athletes this time. On August 5, 2021, let us hope and pray the next boxing bet men division to win the gold medal fight- Marcial and Paalam. Paalam is from my city Cagayan de Oro and Marcial home mate of Hidilyn Diaz in Zamboanga city.

@arunima25, very well said. Athletes must be sports minded. Acceptance of the reality is a must to avoid pain of losing. If there's winner, there's also loser.

@cacay1 Yes. And sports is uncertain. And in an event like Olympics, each one is deserving and talented and that's why they are there

@arunima25 so true, I salute them. They are gifted for they are talented, in good health and shape and with honorable dreams and desires for the country they are in. Not all are qualified in the athletics only those healthy, coachable and teachable plus long endurances.

Well, the award awaits for Petecio is a promise to be broken. Look at Onyok who won the Silver medal in Olympics before. He came out in the open lately and told in the news that he never received awards as promised by the government or the agency concerned.

@Nakitakona, this is Duterte time all that are promised to Judilyn were granted. In fact, Senator Bong Go gave Diaz 1.5 million for her daily expenses. She is still on quarantine so after that everything will be settled. The President the time Onyok received a silver medal and among others might have problems that time. We don't know the real scenario.

@RasmaSandra , there are those about to win but so suddenly accident happens like what had happened to the lady vaulter in United States. She met an accident while in the act on her high vaulting, she crashed down and that was for gold, so sad.
