Title caught your attention? I couldn't really think of one off hand except for that one so now you know why I chose it!
Today has been a quiet day. We slept late. Both of us didn't sleep well last night and when we did wake up didn't feel rested so snoozed. My husband found out one of his friend's little brother has Covid and is not doing well at all. He called to talk to his friend this afternoon and found out his friend and his wife both have Covid too.
We hung out at the pool this afternoon and met a couple of young guys from Illinois and Tennessee. An older couple was from Missouri. And another couple from somewhere up north. It was fun to listen to the conversations and from what the northerners were saying the country up north is very similar to country life down here. There was also an interesting conversaion about Amish life, specifically old order Amish life and new sytle Amish.
As you can see from the photo above, it was a beautiful day here today. I snapped this one on the way back from the post office today.

Hello Friend! let me tell you that your photos look wonderful, not only because of the landscape but also because of the tranquility it conveys. It also catches my attention that you rescued that Amish word, Amish life, here I have been able to learn about them through cultural channels such as Discovery and History Channel, which leave us a legacy and a very atypical teaching to everything we are used to. today. Who knows if it could have been a wonderful life or a life full of many complications.
The truth is that the here and now is the best thing we can have in life, enjoy it and share it with our loved ones, how are you doing today.

Hi there! Yes, Amish life has always fascinated me and I love reading novels based on Amish life. It sounds like today's Amish are not keeping much of the Old Order rules.
I'm good today and we don't have too much planned. Hubby is still not feeling well so will be staying pretty close to the condo. We are going to go out and eat but that is now up in the air. I also wanted to go check out one of the local stores here.
Are your kids back to school yet? Or are you home schooling?

What a beautiful photo! I'm not used to looking at a beach and not seeing condos. Looks like a peaceful place.
Covid is tearing through our area like a rabid beast. Our county just declared a state of emergency because all of our hospitals are now over capacity for Covid patients.
Enjoy that wide open expanse of beach for as long as you can!

The hotels, condos, casinos, gift shops, etc. mostly did not rebuild on the water. There are some but not packed like it used to be.
We had an early dinner tonight at Shaggy's which is on the beach. It was nice and cool sitting outside and enjoying the view!
We are back to mask mandates in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Yep, we're back to mask mandates too in our county, although our governor has not mandated them statewide yet.
