Do You Save Your Credit Card Numbers Online?

Do you do a lot of online shopping? Do you save your credit card numbers on each site to make shopping a lot easier? That's not a good idea.
If the shopping site should be hacked, your credit card numbers are at risk. Sure, it makes it much easier not to get your credit card out each time you make an online purchase; but is it really worth it?
I finally saw the light; and now I input my credit card number for each purchase. I have gone back and deleted my card number on the sites that I frequent; and any time I am prompted to "save my credit card number for future purchases", I decline.
Just something to think about...

No I don't save them, even on sites that I make regular purchases from. I don't mind going through the trouble of filling them out every time. At least it gives me peace of mind.

@LindaOHio When available, I prefer to use PayPal, it's safer.

I would be very wary of saving my credit card details online since I got hacked a couple of years ago. Now I barely trust the internet for anything at all.

I don't shop online - that's probably the easiest way to stay on track about these things . But there are times when I have to - and I definitely do not allow any cc numbers to be saved (I don't even allow saving any of my passwords). I get paranoid about hackers .

I have been shopping online for the better part of 20 years and Kohls was the only one that has ever been an issue. I use my American Express mostly since I really don't worry about any unauthorized purchases with them, they are pretty vigilant.

Me too. What bothers me the most is online banking.

Yeah I think that might be the reason my debit card might have been hacked a few years ago. I now don't link any cards. Actually I looked at Petco, Petsmart and Walmart found out they were still linked. I unlinked them.

I have them saved on some sites. Amazon being one of them. I never had issues though.

@LindaOHio I don't think I have many retailer accounts online. Usually I buy things without creating an account, unless they only allow to make purchases if you create an account, as is the case with Amazon.

@lovebuglena Amazon might be the only place left that I have a credit card listed.

At times yes. Some portal take your number automatically while shopping online.

I have details saved on a couple of sites. I won't save them for one-off purchases or sites I don't use often. They're save on a couple of trusted sites that I use regularly.
I've also got the same password for several sites - which I probably shouldn't but I'd never remember a different one for all the sites I use. I'd have to write them all down, which would really defeat the purpose of having them!

I keep my passwords in an address book, alphabetically. I have so many that I would never remember them all.

I never save my credit card numbers. It takes a bit longer if I don't save them, but I don't mind. I think it is too risky to save them.
