Storing pots and pans

Finally got a break after settling what needed to be settled for the day. Today's actually a public holiday, but, well...I have kids.
Earlier, I was browsing through a few pictures of kitchen storage and organization. It's pretty interesting how many different styles and preferences there are when it comes to storing and arranging cookware. Also, I noticed that some styles are more common in certain countries than others.
I'm the drawer type. One of the things that I like about our kitchen now is the kitchen cabinet provides plenty of storage space. I have two long and deep drawers just below my kitchen peninsula that I use to store pots and pans. I can even fit the wide, deep wok that I use for frying, lid and all, and still keep everything in there look tidy and organized.
How do you store your cookware? Do you stack them on the shelf, hang them from the potrail, display them on a fancy rack, or are you the drawer type like me?

drawer type
but stacking them on shelves isn't bad option. my grandma has one small room where she keeps pots and pans and other things for kitchen. that's not bad.

High five! For sure, there's no one right way to do it. Yeah, I've seen kitchens in some houses where the pots and pans are stacked neatly, so it still makes the space look neat and organized. I think it's nice to have a separate room for storing them.

I think it's very useful to have a lot of storage space in the kitchen. In my previous apartment the space was quite limited so I really appreciate the space we have now.

@cahaya1983 It's hard to have too much space, isn't it?

@JudyEv The hardest thing is it makes you keep wanting to buy stuff to fill all that space!

We have more cabinets for cookware. I don`t buy too much kitchenware too much only some basic pans and pots

Same here, I only make sure I have a suitable cookware for different types of cooking. It's easier to keep things stored nicely that way. Do you stack them up on the shelves inside the cabinet?

@m_audrey6788 That's great! The fewer things we keep, the easier to keep them organized.

I have them in cupboards but I am going to move them to another area. It is too hard to find what you need where I have them.

Yeah it's more convenient when we can reach for things quickly when we need them. I like the deep drawers that I have, but I still need to arrange them in a certain way to make sure everything fits nicely and I can still get what I need easily.

I like having plenty of drawers too. Some people like the open-shelving style but I prefer drawers and cabinets.

@sjvg1976 I've actually seen kitchens with open shelving system and it's not that bad, actually. But usually it looks nicer if the cookware, diningware, etc have the same colour or theme. Otherwise it would make it look messy.

That sounds convenient too. At least it saves you from opening and closing cabinet doors and rummaging through the drawer!

I understand, at my previous place we didn't have plenty of storage space so we just had to fit things in the cabinet somehow.

Cool, I have shelves in my wet kitchen where I do the cooking but most of the things are kept in cabinets.

I am so glad you have room for storage of these.
I hate here I never have the correct storage for pots and pans, but at this time, I have them on my kitchen island on the shelves below.
I am sorry your holiday was not forthcoming with kids lol I know the feeling.

I like kitchen islands with plenty of storage space. Having space to work is nice, but the shelves for storage is definitely a great bonus.
Yeah I don't really have days off but at least I manage to keep the people in this house full and happy.

I have a cupboard under the stove, but they're empty right now. Plenty of storage space that I don't know what to do with them. Not that I'm complaining.

The drawers are a blessing! I have a huge wok and a few other pots that wouldn't fit well if they're stacked. The drawers solved that problem for me.

Stacking them inside the cupboards seem to be a common storage method it seems.

I see. Nowadays a lot of cookware are also sold in sets that can be neatly stacked together.

Yeah I think the under-sink storage is quite common in our country. My under-sink cabinet is where I put the sprays and kitchen cleaning stuff.

I use a drawer too but I think that our problem is that we have too many. I really need to decide what I use the most and find a new place for the rest!

I'm thinking to get rid of some my older ones that I hardly use anymore. But then that would just make me want to buy more to replace them!

Now they have produced cookware in sets that can be stacked together neatly. I like those too. Mine are all mixed and they don't look neat when stacked together so I put them in the drawer instead.

We miss all the storage space we had at our last house. In this house the pots and pans we use most are kept on the stovetop after I've washed them. The ones we don't use are stored on a shelf in the laundry room.

I like having easy access to the cookware when I need them, so I actually don't mind having to stack them close the stovetop. But the wet kitchen where I do the cooking now does not have that much space for me to keep the cookware there, so into the drawers they go.
