Thanks to @crossbones27 today I reconnected with my native slice of my ancestry. Often I get hung up on the everyday noises in my life but I never forget that the Great Spirit is waiting for mankind to wise up. Will we?

The Indians had a lot to teach us, if only we had listened.

I think some were and some were not, human is still human and there are always those who are greedy and do not care about others.

Like with any other generation there are those who are doing what they can to change things for the better but just like our generation they are few and far between

@rebelann We always had greedy humans, now we seem only to have brainless and selfish young people.

@rebelann he did write children's books. But in them, there is lessons we can all learn. The Lorax is a retelling of the story of destruction.

That's good. I am doing my best to work on my family tree by tracing back my genealogy. I have so far completed my 3rd generation. I'm just happy if I have it till 4th generation only.

@rebelann I thought we were only 6 children in our family. Because of it, I had known my other three siblings who were already deceased. One of them were twin and they're stale born.

The past history of mankind causes me to think that we will not wake up, or wise up in time. We need to feel devastated with the way we have ignored the natural world and all the creatures that share it. Perhaps if we 'repent' as the old fashioned word describes feeling sorry enough to make a fresh start, then a light of hope might dawn.

You are correct. If the majority of mankind were to see the need to stop destroying the natural world then maybe we can save it but unfortunately the majority of mankind is focused on getting rich.

Yes, that is very true. The irony is that many came to escape religious persecution yet persecuted Native Americans for not believing as they did.

There is a lot to be learned from the Ancient wisdom of Native Americans but so much was destroyed by ruthless Europeans who were here to get rich or escape persecution. I wonder if the Druids went in the same way.
