You Think You Could Ever Drink At a Bar Owned By Police

Even if it is New Orleans and may have cool bands now and then. I just do not think I could. Nothing to do with driving or even walking home. These days pretty good at being responsible in that way. I just think I would feel monitored and every silly action I make even out of fun would be monitored.
Which would take a way the fun, hell I guess that is most places even with out the police these days. I was watching NCIS New Orleans and they were all day drinking, well I do not know, but in bar in day time and all serious. I guess that would be a bad time to say Go Lakers. Sir you are cut off, infact enjoy these handcuffs.
No thanks, I could not drink at a bar owned by law enforcement. Buzz kill.

Hard to say. I mean, they're off duty if they're at the bar, and they'd probably be good at calling people cabs to go home. But I do understand the discomfort.

I wouldn't give it a second thought.
That's where you and I are different.
I would feel safer in a bar owned by a police officer.

Safer from what a attack? I do not mess with people. I am more talking about having fun and them going no fun allowed. That is the way it these days you start having fun people freak out, sir you need to leave, you may be impaired, you think, isn't that what you are supposed to do? No fun allowed anymore.

@Vikingswest1 Maybe but what bar has their never been slightly impaired people to really impaired people. Yeah this conversation is great I am sure I will never drink in public again, not even worth the hassle anymore.

@crossbones27
And you believe that an officer owned bar wouldn't allow fun?
A bar not owned by LE is obligated to stop serving the impaired and prevent anything that could cause harm or disturb other customers.
I guess we hold different ideas about having fun in a bar.

When I was younger I hung out at a police bar on 8th Avenue in New York City and before I stopped drinking I used to go to a police bar in Miami Beach---both were great bars--a lot of fun---believe it or not no fights and every few allowed to get nasty drunk!

Huh, I can imagine no fights because people knew that is cool, I have been to a few bars and seen them so quick on the trigger not police bars but escalated into a big thing and I was like dude they were just having fun, did not need to come to that.

Oh yeah, like anything people have a passion and they like to buy their own place and make it their own sort of fun. People go I like this but I would do it like this if was my place. stuff like that is what I think. In old days, not sure how it works anymore.

I had no idea police men could own bars But I don't drink, so it'd probably be an automatic "no."
