After having home quarantine for 14 days, I tried my best to check the schedule for it. It was being delayed due to contact tracing issue. To cut it short, my mom and I had them last August 12. I am still feeling a bit sore on my left vaccinated arm and had a feverish feeling for three days.
By the way, we were still advised to wear face masks and shields because it is not guaranteed to be totally resistant to covid 19. It was claimed by the doctor. While listening to her, I felt like a mutant being vaccinated.
Did you have your shots completed already?

I got my first shot in July and second one will be in September. It's advisable to have masks and all safety on place even after being fully vaccinated.

@arunima25 You said it right. Even Pfizer cannot claim it.

@Shavkat None have claimed them to be 100 percent effective. 70 percent itself is good enough. Many have contracted the virus despite being fully vaccinated and few even lost their lives. It just improves your fighting abilities to the virus and reduces mortality rate.

@prashu228, it's not also a guarantee that vaccine can stop the virus.

Yes, we've received both shots. Now they're talking about another shot, it's still undecided. Masks are suggested, but not required in most places.

That's good and stay safe even if you are vaccinated. Mine was Pfizer and I got my 1st dose in May and 2nd dose in June.

My son had his first shot of astra vaccine too the first week of this month. He also had bouts of fever as well but it only lasted for 24 hours only. The next thing here wpuld be the waiting period between the second dose since astra have a very long waiting time for his second dose. My wife and l got Sinovac and is done with the both 1st and 2nd dose already.

@rsa101 In our case, my mom and I had it for more than 45 days because we had home quarantine. The doctor-in-charge in the local city health center advised not to have them with the given date, since we need to finish the quarantine period.

My vaccination is completed. I was ill for a couple of days after the shots, and I had to cancel my plans and stay at home, but I knew it wasn't going to last long and I wasn't worried about it. We don't have to wear masks anymore, it is recommended, but not required. I still wear mine.

@Shavkat Yes, here we are able to choose if we want to wear masks or not. Most people don't wear them anymore, but we still have many new cases every day.

I've had one (in June) and the second one is due end of August.
It's only reckommended to wear face masks on public transport and for some services here, so since I mainly walk and hardly ever have a haircut, I don't use them a lot.
Hope your arm is back to normal soon! My arm ached for a week when I got the tetanus booster last winter

I'm glad you got your second shots. Make sure and keep an eye on your mom. Astra Zeneca can cause blood clots in older women. I don't want anything to happen to her.
Yes, you can still catch Covid 19. The shots just mean you shouldn't die from catching it and shouldn't have as many symptoms as unvaccinated people. You can still pass Covid 19 on to other people if you do catch the virus.

@Shavkat I'm glad you're both doing well. I wasn't suggesting she shouldn't have gotten the vaccine. I was just making sure you'd pay attention to make sure nothing bad happens to her.

Yes I got my two shots already because I'm a senior citizen and we're given priority next to front liners in our country. Masks and face shields are still necessary for minimum health protocols even if fully vaccinated already.

@gamayngbaki I totally agree with you. If I am still working in a hospital, then I am sure a frontliner in a great range of patients to be catered.

@Shavkat That's one of the perks of being a front liner in general and specifically for a front liner for a senior citizen.

I have, and almost reaching the 14 days after my second shot. Mask is still mandatory here regardless of our vaccination status, though.
