Bought biodegradable plates for the environment. I like these plates. They're sturdy and made from sustainable materials. Glad to see we can use other ways to make paper besides trees like bamboo. What do you buy to help the environment?

I use plastic/ceramic bowls and plates that I can wash and use over and over. I don't think we've bought a new set of dishes in a long while. (wait, we bought new cups and platees) again a cross between ceramic and plastic.

This is a big money saver and is very good for the environment to not throw out paper plates

I can't say I buy anything specifically for helping the environment but I do recycle plastic bags from grocery by using for garbage bags in smaller wastebaskets in my house and also taking some to the flea market to use for customer's purchases. And after typing that I remember I do buy rechargable batteries!!

@db20747 yes and when left or disposed off carelessly they can be insightly to the environment and cause a breeding place for mosquitoes by holding stagnant water

Those are the plates sold here after plastic was banned. I wash my dishes to help the environment, better than throwing after every meal.

I don't buy disposable dishes. I wash my dishes. I even have camping plates. I figure the energy used to manufacture and transport disposables is greater than just washing your own. I avoid unnecessary plastic. I'll always buy the large soaps and fill smaller containers. I don't buy bottled water. I seperate all the recyclables and bring them to the dump for free. I compost nearly everything and will reuse plastic bags and Ziplock baggies.
