How is your Sunday going?

Greece
August 29, 2021 5:02am CST
I got up early to a literal 'sun' day. Blue skies, hot day ahead. I fed the cats, made the bed, checked the water in the plants in the greenhouse. Let Elsa into the garage where it is cooler. Had breakfast. In the days when Sunday was normal, I would have got dressed and driven to church. Not anymore. Not until we get a Covid all clear for us to use the building where we worship. So instead I put on my coolest clothes and prepared lunch. After that I spent an hour in virtual 'church' listening to the International Service in Athens. God bless the internet. Now lunch is almost ready and after that I will do my best to observe a day of rest. I hope you will be joining me. It's been a stressful week in the world.

We crossed the border for some grocery shopping in Italy. This morning the air was chilly, I had to wear a warm sweater go to out. The rest of the day will be at home.

We're back to in building church services, but since this is a fifth Sunday, we're having a service of singing. Our church is small and we only have preaching twice a month. Hope you'll enjoy your service and the rest of your day.

We have to stay masked and cannot sing in churches. That is very hard. I would rather sing than listen to a sermon.

@1creekgirl Outside services must have been enjoyed by people whould not normally go to church so that was a plus in a way. Maybe just keeping the distance will be enough soon and masks will be a thing of the past.

@41CombedaleRoad I've noticed that our local Walmart went from masks required for entry to masks not required and now to masks requested. I hope our church doesn't have to go back to outside services again. I love singing, too.

The question that springs to my mind from your conment is to ask what the world will look like when the shaking ends and things settle down again?

It is cool here in the mornings but the evenings take a long time to cool down. I try to take a walk after sunset but I get very hot and tired.

@wolfgirl569 before ten would be the time to walk here. Today I went for a swim which was perfect any time of the day

@41CombedaleRoad I have been trying to take my longest walk before noon right now. It is already warming up by then but gets a lot worse after that.

I'm glad you had a nice Sunday and could spend an hour in virtual church. I'm sorry COVID still dictates your lifestyle. I've been able to go to church for a year now.

Sunday I got some good news from my cousins. I also did some fall decorating. I will be watching the church service later this week.
