Brightened His Day With Brownies

Just visited my neighbor. He got word last night from New York his older brother that has been on hospice is not expected to live much longer. He has cancer.
So, he is planning a trip to visit him one last time. He flies out Tuesday.
I baked him a pan of brownies. One of his favorites. I had a box of the turtle brownie mix to use.
He smiled when I took it to him and he said it brightened his day.
Makes me happy to help others. My thoughts are with him on this trip.

A carrot cake would make ME happy!!! (Just kidding!) I have a neighbor like that and everybody loves her for her kindness!
Strange about hospice--a fellow mylotter has been on hospice since the winter and is doing okay!
